We provided the scaffold design for a bespoke vehicle access gantry at Priory Court, a residential new-build development in Walthamstow, London. The site required a purpose-designed gantry structure to service second, third and fourth floor loading bays, enabling materials delivery to multiple levels on a live construction site with severe spatial constraints.
The site at Priory Court presented a highly restricted working environment. The building perimeter sat tight against site hoarding, with mature trees further narrowing the available footprint and constraining scaffold positions. The gantry had to span across this confined access zone while maintaining a clear vehicle and pedestrian route beneath for ongoing site operations.
With three separate loading bay levels to service, the scaffold structure required significant bracing to achieve stability within the tight footprint. Every stage of the erection had to be carefully sequenced and coordinated with site management to avoid disrupting the works programme. The loading platforms were fully boarded at each level, with the gantry designed to support the delivery and handling of large structural components at height while operatives and site traffic continued to move safely below.
Full scaffold design for a bespoke vehicle access gantry serving three loading bay levels within a severely restricted site footprint. 2D construction drawings, 3D model and structural calculations issued to programme, with the erection methodology carefully sequenced around live site operations to maintain vehicle and pedestrian access throughout installation.
